2026 China International Coatings Expo Grandly Opens in Shanghai

On July 15, the 2026 China International Coatings Expo and the 24th China International Coatings Exhibition opened in Shanghai. Hosted by the China Coatings Industry Association under the theme 'New Materials, Smart Manufacturing, Technology Empowerment,' the exhibition covers 38,000 square meters, bringing together over 500 well-known brands from the global coatings industry chain including Skshu, Huayi, Nippon Paint, and PPG, and is expected to attract over 60,000 domestic and international professional visitors.

Ling Yiqun, Vice President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, noted that while architectural coatings demand faces pressure, industrial coatings are rising with the tide. Demand for coatings in new energy vehicles, ships, wind power, and new energy storage is growing rapidly, becoming a new engine driving industry growth.

Coatings Association Secretary-General Liu Jie stated that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the coatings industry will pursue systematic quality upgrading along six major lines, including cultivating world-class leading enterprises, removing supply chain bottlenecks, accelerating digital-intelligent transformation, and improving green manufacturing systems. Concurrently, the expo hosts over 30 high-end forums, technical training sessions, and procurement matching events.
