11th Xinjiang Seed Exhibition Opens in Changji: 517 Superior Varieties with Central Asian Representatives

The 11th Xinjiang Seed Exhibition and Trade Fair, themed 'Technology Empowering Strong Seed Industry, Innovation Driving Food Security,' opened on August 6 at the Xinjiang Agricultural Expo Park in Changji, running through August 8.

The event features 300 standard booths showcasing 517 superior seed varieties and intelligent agricultural machinery. Many new high-yield, stress-resistant, and mechanization-suitable varieties make their debut. Over 600 delegates and more than 10,000 exhibitors are participating.

The highlight is internationalization: 25 representatives from Uzbekistan's national seed institutions attended, with a Central Asia seed exchange event featuring experts from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. The Xinjiang Seed Exhibition has developed into northwest China's largest seed trading platform, with 4,200 seed companies participating over the past ten editions and cumulative contract value exceeding 13 billion yuan.
